This artwork was inspired from frequent museum and gallery visits where, as spectators, we are always told to keep a distance from artworks and to not touch them. We are usually passive participants. I wanted to flip this narrative, and so, “Never Alone” was created. A piece that invites the viewer to fully immerse themself in the artwork. To touch it, be close to it, alter it and above all, for a moment, to lose themself in it. A piece where artist and spectator come together and are never alone.
Unlike modern interactive artworks which use advance technologies such as AI, I took things back to the basics and used magnetism. This coupled with the traditional and complex medium of oil painting, creates something that is grounding and simple, yet profound.
So, I invite you to HAVE FUN, EXPLORE and CREATE your own masterpiece!
